Dear NB Support Team

Using dbPro when I show a table, How can I modify the actions of the navigation buttons?

ie. I add a new record but how can i to define some fields w/ default values?

Using dbPro when I show a table, How can I modify the actions of the navigation buttons?


The navigation buttons that appear at the bottom of the grid provide generic database functions and cannot be customized. Instead what you can do is turn off the display of the grid's navigation bar with dbpSetGridProperties. Then create your own navigation buttons with NeoBook's push button object. For example, the next button would use the dbpNext action.

Call dbpAddRecord, populate the table variables, then call dbpSaveEdits. For example:

dbpAddRecord "AddressBook" "Contacts"
SetVar "[AddressBook.Contacts.FirstName]" "Joe"
SetVar "[AddressBook.Contacts.LastName]" "Smith"
dbpSaveEdits "AddressBook" "Contacts"
