How do you Open an MDB (Access DB) in Read-Only, Shared, Exclusive or Exclusive Read-Only modes ? how do you lock and unlock tables, records, DB manualy.

To open a database in read-only mode, just don't provide users with the means to modify the database. The dbpSetGridProperties action can be used to set the grid to read-only.

Multi-user modes and record locking are handled automatically by the database engine server (Access, mySQL, Oracle, etc.) In addition, many database engines allow administrators to define access privileges for specific users.
