Updating data

Hi NeoSupport Team

1 - I export/copy data in a MDB file to a USB memory stick/disc or whatever
2 - That copied file is or could be modified (added/deleted records)
3 - I want to update data from the copied/modified file to the main database

The question is
May I create/use a View of a table from the copied file to use it as a new recordset in order to add/update those records?

If the exported data consists of the entire table, then you could probably just empty the table and import the data.

If the exported data is only part of the table or the table might be edited separately from the exported data, then it get much more complicated. I'm not an expert on SQL, but I think you could to use some form of the SQL Replace command. More info below:
