Invalid bookmark

Postby DELCO » Fri May 30, 2008 3:14 pm

I have a problem with "Invalid bookmark"... Sometime, (not all the time), with the same database MS, I have this error message when I delete a field.

I have the last version of NBKDBPro 1.1d, NBK 5.5.4

Why only sometime and not all the time ?

DELCO:

Do a search on "invalid AND bookmark" in the NeoBookDBPro section of the forum ... the other 2 posts will give you an idea about previous discussion on the subject.

Hi...

DELCO
I still get that fa....g message from time to time when i use Access database and use dbpExecSQL to insert or update data. I don't know if you use dbpExecSQL in your project. I think this is something that has to do with refresh the data from ODBC.
So far i didn't find any solution to it.

Hi Gaev and Smartmedia,

As I said in my previous post, I already use the 1.1.D version on NBKDBPro...

...and I dont't use dbpExecSQL..., so the problem is somewhere else...

I will investigate on that, and I will tell you if I find something interresting !
Have a good week-end !!

Version 1.1d fixes the bookmark error that was reported. If someone can provide a simple example that reproduces this new bookmark error, I would be happy to take a look at it.

Hi Dave,
It seems the problem vanish as soon as I stop to use "dbpSetAutoEdit = no"; Also, I must say that the problem occured when I select row in grid and ask to delecte it. Sometime it worked, and after a few selection and delete, I have the error message.

If this can help you in troubleshooting... Or may be I have done something wrong in my code.

By the way, I just want to say that to my eyes, Neobook is the high top of software !!!!!

Have a good day !!

That's a good clue. I'll see what I can find out.

Delco:

I haven't been able to duplicate the bookmark error here. Do you have a small sample pub that I can use to reproduce the problem?
