Report Designer Auto Size

Postby datadon » Wed Feb 27, 2008 10:01 am

I have a multiline text box that is populated by a memo field in the database. I want to have it expand to include all the data in the box when reporting. I have checked the Auto Size, but that does not seem to do it. Any thoughts on what I might be missing?

I found this in the help file:

Enabling the Auto-size option will allow the Text/Field object to expand or contract if the contents are larger than the object's bounds.

I am not sure that this is working. I will send a file to Dave for him to review.

The auto-size and wordwrap options work together to control how the field is sized. For example:

auto-size + wordwrap = stretch field vertically

auto-size alone = stretch field horizontally
