Idle event and timer

From the help file:

Idle Event: These actions are executed if no keyboard or mouse activity has been detected during the time interval specified. Enter the time interval (in seconds) that the system must remain idle before the Action is triggered.

However, it doesn't seem to work when a timer is running. A timer doesn't really qualify as keyboard or mouse activity. The timer in this case just counts down seconds from a specified number.

Can this be fixed in the next update?

Does the timer execute any actions?

Is the timer interval less than the idle time?

Timer contains this action:

setvar "[timetogo]" "[timetogo]-1"

Is the timer interval less than the idle time?

Yes. It is set to 1000 msec, since it is a second countdown timer.

Idle time is 900 seconds.

If the timer executes an action, that will reset the idle event.

OK. You may want to update the help file to reflect that. Is this something that can be changed in the next update?

Maybe, if it can be done without breaking existing apps.
