I don't have Vist 64bit, but it works fine with Win7 Ultimate 64bit:

FileOpenBox "Load Background Image" "Any Image File|*.*"
"c:\Xboard\Sets" "[ximages]" ""

This action should all be on one line:

FileOpenBox "Load Background Image" "Any Image File|*.*" "D:\NeoBook 5\Plugins" "[ximages]" ""

Glad you found the problem. In Vista & win7, the Program Files and Program Files (x86) folders are virtual. Installing in one of these folders also can cause the inability to retain unlock codes and read/write databases, from my experience.

I wouldn't install ANYTHING in either of these folders. Saves a lot of grief.

The other side effect is that in Vista if I choose to select a particular folder using this code, and decide to use another FileOpenBox even if the path is different, the folder that comes up is the same that I opened before.

Evidently, this is a "feature" of Vista/Win7. You can work around this "feature" by setting the file name variable with the name of the path you want to view. For example:

SetVar "[ximages]" "c:\Xboard\Sets\*.*"
FileOpenBox "Load Background Image" "Any Image File|*.*" "c:\Xboard\Sets" "[ximages]" ""
