[PubDir] Conflict

Postby smartmedia » Fri Aug 06, 2010 2:15 am

Hi..

I was working in a Publication and saved As a different name in a different folder. After making some changes to code and tried to run it i got errors involve [PubDir]. For some reason NB kept the old Folder as [PubDir]. Even when i close and re-open NB the problem still exists.
Solution
Searching why, i found that, this problem is involved with the compiled folder is set in Book-->Compile/Publish-->Compile To

Please make a notation so the user knows why or change the way is working.

Thanks

This has always been that way. I just got in the habit of changing it. It would be nice if NB would pick up on the new folder name and adjust accordingly.

So what happens if a user moves the folder after the pub is compiled, does that affect the operation at all?

No, PubDir is set to the folder of the compiled EXE.
