getting a file version

Postby stevec » Fri May 14, 2010 1:33 pm

I need to be able to 'detect' the file version.
For example, Internet Explorer, and save the version to a variable.

Has anyone done this?

Thanks;
Steve

Save the following to a file in your NeoBook 5/Functions folder:

Code: Select all
{NeoBook Function}
Version=5.60
Language=VBScript
Param=[%1]|FileName|File Name
Param=[%2]|Variable|Variable
{End}
Set objFSO = CreateObject("Scripting.FileSystemObject")
publication.nbSetVar "[%2]", objFSO.GetFileVersion("[%1]")

Then use NeoBook's Call action to execute it.
