Due to limitations of the older dBase format, the free NeoBookDB plug-in provides only nominal multi-user capabilities. I believe that if you're using a table to edit data, then the record locking would be automatic. If you're using text entry fields to edit data, then you would need to provide some mechanism for locking records to avoid multiple people editing the same record at the same time.

If the data you're using is mission critical, then I would recommend using a more modern database format, like MS Access, supported by our NeoBookDBPro plug-in:
