lgaFileSys HELP please

Postby phunk » Wed Feb 14, 2007 1:57 pm

igafilesys works we know. but when i try to use it with variables it gives me an "I/0 error 103" with this.:

Code: Select all
lgaFilelist "[dirpath]" "[mask]" "[filename]" "[sub]" "[ext]" "[path]"
"

i checked all variables, everythings okay. but in the debug window it doesn't show the button execution with the variables filled in but still with [dirpath] [mask] and so on. it doesn't set/translate/include the variable content...?

any ideas? any variable hickup?

thanx for your help in advance

Works for me using the "Advanced Version" example on the demo pub's "Filelist" page. I/O Error 103 usually means that the file you're trying to write to can't be opened either because it doesn't exist or because it is locked to another process. Two possiblities: 1) the file doesn't already exist, but note that iga's docuentation says it must exist before using it, and 2) your ran your program more than once and it crashed during one run leaving the file in an open state -- open to the crashed program -- so the next time you run it, the file is locked and not writeable by the current incarnation of your program.

The most likely answer is that the file doesn't exist before using the "lgaFilelist" command. Checkout his "Advanced Version" example.

phunk,

this code work for me:

Code: Select all
FileWrite "!c:\demo.txt" "" ""
SetVar "[filename]" "!c:\demo.txt"
SetVar "[mask]" "*.*"
SetVar "[dirpath]" "c:\"
lgaFilelist "[dirpath]" "[mask]" "[filename]" "1" "1" "1"

Just for the record:

Shouldn't the name of the plug-in be lga (as in LGA, not IGA)?

I think it is short for Leif G Andersson in Sweden.

Hello Odd,

You are right. The plugin is lgaFileSys which I mistakenly read as igaFileSys. My apologies to Leif.
