Invisible Marquee - Invisible Marquee

Postby HoserJoe » Tue Nov 11, 2003 10:53 pm

The marquee around a selected item disappears sometimes.  This makes it difficult to guess what was selected.  I know it's something to do with pen size or color, but I can never find it in the  how-to stuff.  Since it happens regularly to me, others probably have the same problem.  What's the trick to this?

I haven't heard that before, but it may have something to do with the palette you're using for your 256 color images. The marquee uses an XOR routine to invert the background. This process works best when the image's palette includes black and the first color and white as the last color. Editing your palette to include these colors should resolve the problem. You can also try converting your images to 16 million color for editing, then converting them back to 256 color before saving.
