Bitmap fonts

Postby SysOp » Wed Mar 20, 2013 4:01 am

Hi,

It seems I can't get bitmap fonts in NeoPaint 5. FON files like System, Terminal, Fixedsys, MS Sans Serif or Small Fonts are no longer listed but also the Tahoma bitmap fonts are not used when using sizes like 8, 10 or 12. This way, small fonts are difficult to read, especially when not anti-aliased. And they do not resemble the bitmap fonts used in screenshots for example. I hope this can also be fixed in a future update.
Thanks in advance!

I'm sorry, it's probably not possible to use bitmap fonts with NeoPaint 5. Bitmap fonts are not compatible with some new v5 features (special effects, rotation, etc.) which only work with True Type fonts. Overall, the quality of fonts in v5 is vastly superior to v4.

Hm, I like a lot of the new features of neobook 5 (like layer etc,) but this is one point to keep a copy of neobook 4 running parallel.
For special jobs where editing small custom GUI elements this can be essential.

So as always: Use the right tool to get the job done. ;-)

But it is fixed anyway in patch 5.1.1! Thank you very much! I love it!
