rlNeoLua Pro BETA Release

Postby reynoldlariza » Fri Sep 30, 2005 11:13 pm

ok after several months, I got a time to make a BETA release of the plug-in.

This is a BIG change compared to its predecessor. :)

So far it contains 8 Classes of functions. Details are included on documents from the distribution.

I apologize if the documents might not be thoroughly clear. It's too many and I'm alone developing this plug-in.

This release is not intended for final publications yet. There are still several class that must be implemented. This let you delve in to what the plug-in is, and what it can do

If you got some question, comments, suggestions don't hesitate to contact me. (Although there might be some delays  )

You can download it at:

( I suggest, right-click and select Save-Target As)

EDIT...

there's been a some problems with the web server from where the files are stored :( . Sorry for that kind of trouble  I'll try to fix that when I got a spare time. For now just right-click and Choose Save-Target As

Anyway, I forgot to mention that the plug-ins expect that you already have a basic understanding of LUA programming language.
You can get info about it at: http://www.lua.org/

There's a book too: http://www.lua.org/pil/

Goodluck! :)

rlNeoLua Professional Release 1

so far, no more major bugs that I can find (i think). I'm now releasing the first stable release. Before I came to this release, I re-did a lot of debugging to make sure everything works. (But I can't be 100% sure that everythings ok.)

Download at: (right-click and choose "Save Target as")

http://reynoldlariza.bizhat.com/CODE/rlNeoLuaProR1.zip
or
http://reynoldlariza.bizhat.com/CODE/rlNeoLuaProR1.exe

CHANGES:
check out the enhance String.Parse function, it's really awesome (biased  ). It can parse a string into sub-strings by a selected delimiter character, or parse a string into individual characters. The result is either as a table or by using a callback function. Check out the examples from the help file.

As always, I cannot be perfect, if you find any bugs, or have comments, questions, suggestions, or even criticisms, DON't heistate to send it to me.

P.S. Beginning from rlNeoLua, it seems only a few are interested with this plug-in, heh you're missing the goodies, with this high quality plug-in , with help file, packaged as FREE! both for commercial and non-commercial purposes.

Anway, goodluck with Lua for NeoBook!

Thanks a lot for your contributions to NB.

You are right: I'm one of many who has not discovered yet the powerfull possibilities you are offering to the NB comunity. I can tell you that I will take a look at it and ... who knows...I'm sure I will learn a lot of new things thanks to contributions like yours.

But the idea of this message is just to thank you and hope you keep this collaborative spirit as you have shown us.

I'm just returning the favor for those who guided and helped me to learn computer programming for free, since I was just a small head who only knows a single number base system (decimal).

Reynold: I can't get either file when using save target as. All I can download is the error page. I can give you some space on my server, if you want. PM me if interested.
