Ok, this seems to work.

Perhaps someone (MEGASTEVER1 ?) who knows more about installing this forum can tell us if it can be customized to add 4 hyperlinks on each page (French to English, Spanish to English, English to French, English to Spanish) ... more if required ... e.g. German, Portuguese, Spanglish !

The hyperlinks would be of the format ...

http://world.altavista.com/babelfish/tr ... 4&lp=fr_en

... i.e ...

Part1: constant
http://world.altavista.com/babelfish/trurl_pagecontent

Part2: the url of the current page
?url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.neosoftware.com%2Fforum%2Fviewtopic.php%3Ft%3D12384

Part3: "from language code"_"to language code" ; French to English is ...
&lp=fr_en

If possible, then it would make it easier to get an instant translation of the current page ... however imperfect it may be ... BTW, if someone vouches for a better (free) translation service that can accept url's like this one, please make your suggestion here.

It certainly could be done with just a bit of php and would probably make things a lot easier for our foreign friends.

Of course everything is to Neosoft.

This page ... http://www.wingimp.org/ ... has a nice little example ... this code ...

<center><script language="JavaScript1.2" src="http://www.altavista.com/r?entr"></script>

... creates a nice little image ... just click on the flag and it does the rest.

After v5 is in production, perhaps Dave can look into incorporating something like this into the pages of this forum.

Beat me to it Gaev, I was just coming here to mention I found that altavista has provisions to do this.
