I finally did something I've been meaning to do for a long time. Update Neobook Object Commander. Every time I tried to, something else would come up and it got sent to the sideburner.

This program was created entirely using Neobook and I use it often. It's a valuable, time-saving tool. There have always been things I wanted to improve on. The old version uses the old dbf database system, limiting functionality. So the new version now uses DBPro. And I've changed the interface to be more user friendly and larger to accomodate higher resolution screens and included an import utility to import your old dbf database into the new dbPro database format.

For those who aren't familiar with the program, Neobook Object Commander allows you to store snippets and OBJECTS in a database for re-use later. All objects are pasted with coding attached. The snippet bank alone saves me lots of typing, but the handiest feature is being able to create and store objects I use a lot, such as working dialogs, forms, gui layouts, preference screen containers and more, that I would otherwise have to recreate from scratch for each new project. Before Object Commander, I used to try and remember which project I last used that object, then copy and paste it into the new project. Problem is, the more projects I created, the harder it was to remember which project I had used that object. Having them all in one place saves me a lot of time searching and pops them into Neobook with just a click. The snippet bank will also copy the snippet to Neobook with a click.

Add it to the Tools menu in Neobook and now it's available any time you need it.

As always upgrades are free for those who have already purchased a license. However, I changed the security code and you will need to contact me through the Trouble Ticket System linked below to get a new unlock code. The trial version runs for 30 days without restriction. If you don't yet have a license, the program is reasonably priced on my web site:

Tech support is free by email or through the Ticket System:

While there, take a look at my other titles, including some that are freeware. All were created with Neobook. Will give you an good idea of the power Neobook has.
