Windows Task Manager

Postby ajhunt » Sun Jun 18, 2017 11:28 pm

Hi All, I notice that when running my compiled NB projects that the Windows Task Manager gets disabled and when pressing Ctrl-Alt-Del the option for Task Manager is missing. Am I missing something which does this? Is there a way to run my compiled options without having this happen. Any help would be greatly appreciated as this is so annoying. Many thanks All.

Many thanks David, I'll add that into the code as it starts and as it enters - as it starts so enabled when compiled is running. Thanks for your help as always David, your knowledge is of great help to all.

For anyone else who wants to enable Task Manger whilst running their compiled projects this does the trick using rtSystemFileManagement:

.Reset Task Manager in Registry
SetVar "[rtInputVar1]" "HKEY_CURRENT_USER"
SetVar "[rtInputVar2]" "SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\System"
SetVar "[rtInputVar3]" "DisableTaskMgr"
SetVar "[rtInputVar4]" "0x00000000 (0)"
rtRegistryWrite
