One app picking up audio from another

Greetings Fellow NeoBookers!

Most apps that I make are used in a lab. The apps are copied onto each of the 32 computers. Yesterday, one of my students told me that the audio did not correspond with the application he was working on. I listened, and he was correct. The app that he was working with was playing an audio file embedded in another application that I had made a few years ago. I deleted the new app and copied it onto the computer again. Same thing happened. The lab tech updated the computer's anti-virus. Didn't help. The app is copied onto all 32 computers, but this is happening on only one. Could this be because the audio file in the new app and the one in the old app have the same name? But if that's the case, why is it happening on only one computer? Any suggestions/help/insight would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Seanie, Please could you explain better as i dont get you.

Are you trying to play an embedded audio file.
Is the software playing a different audio file instead of the specified one
Does your software has permission to read/write to disk
Where is the embedded file extracted to before playing

If the audio is compiled inside the pub exe, then NeoBook will need to extract it to the user's temporary folder before it can be played. If you used the same file names for both the old and the new program, maybe some of those old files are lingering in the temp folder. Take a look at the user's temp folder and see if there are any existing files matching the names of your audio files, and delete them.
