Hi Guys,
I want to protect my Db that nobody can change my data but everybody can use it and search the data they need.
I want to introduce a password in my "Edit" button and at same time get the option to change the password to a new one.
In a side appears the Text "Password", a TextEntry for that password (wich shall be stored in any place that nobody can get and I should use it in next program start), a button "go", a button "Cancel" and a Button "Change Password"
When that Change button pushed appears the traditional "previously password" "new Password" "confirm password" The button "Change" and a button "cancel"
Teach me please.

I think I scared all of you.
I have done everything but when I close the aplication I have the first password again.
My question is: How to save my new password inside the pub to be used at any time? :?:

There is no way to store passwords inside the pub (or any exe file for that matter) ... you have to store it in an external file/database ... since you are using NeoBookDB, you do not have much protection against others snooping in the resulting database (of DBase format) ... with NeoBookDBPro, you can use Microsoft Access or MySQL and other databases that allow password protection and encryption of the database content.

So, your only other option is to do some sort of encryption yourself (using NeoBook commands) and saving it in a file/Database (that is less secure from snooping).
