Neobook 5.8.6 keeps running

Hello,

Please what would make a copy continue running after Neobook has been closed ?
I am running it on Windows 10 Pro 64 bits. I can see two entries continuing to run after exiting NB.
And if I start many copies one after having closed the previous one, I have as many twins of each launch.

This problem also began to appear in the Russian localized version after version 5.8.5. Similarly I do not presume to argue, but I think helped if the exe file, right-click Properties> Details "Deleting the properties and personal information." In Windows10 I do not see this problem.

We haven't seen that here in any of our tests with Windows 10.

Are you using any plug-ins? It could be a plug-in isn't shutting down properly and that's preventing NeoBook from closing completely. You might try temporarily removing all plug-ins from NeoBook's Options > Install Plug-Ins screen. Then either clear any copies of NeoBook still running from Task Manager or restart your computer. After that run and close NeoBook and check Task Manager. If NeoBook isn't leaving anything in memory, then the problem is definitely caused by a plug-in. Try adding plug-ins one at a time until you find the one that's causing the problem.

Me again : it was quick.
NeoBook without any plugin installed stops as it should. But each time I install a plugin it's the same behavior.

Steps to reproduce :
- start without any plugin
- install a plugin (anyone)
- stop NeoBook
- restart NeoBook
- stop NeoBook
And it will be running in the taks manager

I have tried with (one plugin at a time) :
- NeoBookDBPro v1.6a
- NeoBookDX v1.1c
- NeoBookFM/FTP v1.4
- ObjectToolz 1.0.4
- nzPluginSocket
- npTool
- npCiph
- npTalk

(and stopped here because the behavior was confirmed)

As for the plug-ins may give erroneous opinion. NeoBook can be 5-10 times close normally, and on 11 the process will hang. It needs a careful approach to testing. Again. We've been after this localization of the application.

So far I haven't been able to reproduce this here. I haven't tried all the plug-ins you've listed, but found no problems with NeoBookDBPro, NeoBookDX or NeoBookFM/FTP.

Are you using a version of NeoBook downloaded from NeoSoft's website or one from somewhere else?

Are you doing anything else with the program? Hacking, localization, etc.
I ask why? If the program is in a pure form, such a problem was not observed.

I am sorry but I have to reply no to your question. I am a calm and mature developer relying on the tools provided by better coders. That's the reason why I reported the behavior.

I still can't reproduce this here. Unless we can reproduce the problem here, it will be extremely difficult to resolve. It could be something on your PC (anti-virus, etc.) is somehow preventing plug-ins from closing properly. I've never heard of anything like that before, but with Windows 10 who knows.

Are any other Windows 10 users experiencing this problem?

In fact, I can confirm mishem's words : today NeoBook seems to close normally.
I will report more if I can reproduce the behavior at 100%

After installing Windows 10 I had that problem.
I removed all the plugins, and I found that a plugin to make Pings was the problem, I removed it.
Sometime after that, the problem reappeared again. This time I ran NeoBook with administrator rights and put the NeoBook installation folder in the list of excluded folders on the Microsoft Defender "antivirus".
Now everything works normally.
