SEARCH IN LISTBOX

Postby neobookruletin » Sun Dec 28, 2014 4:26 pm

I HAVE A BUTTON WITH THE FOLLOWING CODE

InputBox "BUSCAR PROVEEDOR" "INGRESE EL PROVEEDOR QUE DESEA BUSCAR" "[ENCONTROPROOVEEDOR]"
SetVar "[Lista1]" "[ENCONTROPROOVEEDOR]"

http://youtu.be/b8e0aURKSSI

IF I WRITE THE FULL NAME FIND OK, IF I WRITE ONE PART DOES NOT FIND NOTHING. I NEED search for WITHOUT HAVING TO WRITE THE NAME COMPLETE CONTAINING THE LISTBOX

The ListBox is not designed to find "partially matching" items.

The YouTube can not be viewed ... says it is marked Private and I need to sign in ?

So please describe what exactly you want to accomplish e.g. if it has entries like ...

Austria
Belgium
Canada
Chile
China
Denmark

... what do you want to happen when the Input Box contains C ?

The video shows how it responds to your code ... not how you want it to behave.

Again, when you enter something in the Input Box that partially matches several entries e.g. C ... since Canada, Chile and China start with C ... what do you want the ListBox to show ? ... all 3 entries ? ... just the first one ? ... something else ?

You want an "autocomplete" script.... You can write your own or use one that's ready by replacing with your key words... Here are some autocomplete scripts you can experiment with and modify:
