a virus report

Postby carlos torres » Tue Sep 02, 2014 2:11 pm

Dear NB Sirs

Recently I am having problems compiling programs NB. By now I`m really worry about that.
I'm using Win vista and avast antivirus, It reports a virus on the exe file.

Several error messages appear:

- Can not open file myProgram_Test.exe
- Unable to compile to destination folder
- Unable to compile icon
- Unable to compress exe (upx exit code 1)

I changed the file location, recompile but the same messages persist.

How I can avoid this behavior?
I Don't know how this error appeared.

I will appreciate any help.

Regards

Dear NB Sirs

TIA

I think the problem is the new version of NB (5.8.5b). I reinstalled the previous version (5.8.5) and compiles perfectly.
The problem is new and had already compiled several applications. But now says there is a virus in the * _Test.exe and stops.
I don't know how it comes. I'll be waiting in the previous version (5.8.5) until to have a new report.

There is no virus. This is a false-positive - a mistake by Avast. However, I created a _Test.exe with NeoBook and uploaded to virustotal.com and it found no viruses (including Avast):

https://www.virustotal.com/en/file/7dd66c37c97adf86b6517fde0a3e56356007370c00754d8e4d52ff8b24bf21f5/analysis/1409763071/

Perhaps Avast has released an update that corrects their bug?

Dear NB Team

Thanks for your quick answer.

What i did was reinstall versions.
My Norton antivirus detect also an heuristic 'malfunction' not a virus.
Now returned to normal.
