Runnig DLL File

Postby Cuttlas » Mon Aug 18, 2014 12:27 pm

Hi

is there any way to launch a dll file via NeoBook? for example there is a dll file which can config video settings and it is a plugin of a software. Can I call the DLL so I can use the video settings?

Thanks mishem, But I'm looking for a FREE situation :)

and Tony I tried to use rundll32.exe but nothing.

Here is an example DLL, it gpuPeteOpenGL plugin for some softwares: http://www.mediafire.com/download/wp3zv ... OpenGL.dll

and Here is an image when you use this plugin and try to configure it via some of those softwares:

I want to launch this screen from that DLL, possible with NeoBook? HOW?

rundll32 gpuPeteOpenGL.dll GPUconfigure

But, you don't know what u are doing. This dialog means nothing without code context it is called from, it won't do anything by it's own. In addition, it is a plugin for other app, so again, this dll will change nothing being outside of parent app's code context. You have to get results from this dialog and apply it to parent app, how are you going to do that?

hey, you can "copy settings to clipboard" ) that's all.

Thank U Tony, I know what I'm doing ;) just think the DLL will create an ini file which contains important iformation and I want to let user first makes his config via this DLL and then I use the ini file information.

But actually I was looking for ((GPUconfigure)) command, how did u get it?

Google for "exported functions", download PE Explorer (or similar soft), load your dll and check Exports table (button on toolbar)

This could happen only if ini creation is placed at the same function (GPUconfigure), obviously it's not.

Tony please check ur new PM too, I have sent u detailed info.

about directinput, I think it needs some special programming and API calling which is not possible by NeoBook.
further more maybe listing joystick names can be solved with some tricky Scripts
